NBA 2K18: Check out the availability of NBA 2K18 for Xbox 360 and PS3

by Dustin Kuhn on / Gaming

NBA 2K18 Release Date: Recently the 2K Sports has confirmed that the much talked about gaming installment’s release date has been confirmed. The NBA 2K18 is scheduled to release on the September 19 this year. For the fans of this basketball-based video gaming installment, the release date was indeed a much awaited one. Now that they have been offered with the confirmed NBA 2K18 release date, their excitement meets no bounds, as they now are eager to know what confirmed features would be unveiled with this installment.

NBA 2K18 Cover AthletesAs per the confirmed reports, Shaquille O’Neal is going to be the cover athlete for the Legend Edition as well as Legend Edition Gold of NBA 2K18. Fans, if you purchase either of the two editions are allowed to get his gear for the MyPlayer character. On the other hand, we have the Standard Edition that’d be covered by Kyrie Irving as the cover star of the edition.

Will NBA 2K18 be released for Xbox 360 and PS3?
For the Switch console, Nintendo has already announced NBA 2K18; which leads us to the fact that features will include MyCareer and more, as per Nintendo. As for now, we are not sure of other confirmed features as the console has got a less processing power than that of PS4 and Xbox One. And with fewer powers, the Visual Concepts might leave some major features. The NBA 2K games are available on Xbox One along with PS4 too. Certainly, we presume NBA 2K18 to be supported with better visuals and color. NBA 2K17 was one of the primary games that was supported on the Xbox One S. Now both the Microsoft and Sony is going to be spending 2017 for enhancing visual updates by their new (upcoming) gaming consoles; Xbox One X (Project Scorpio which was previously named as Xbox 2) and PS5 respectively. Though the PS 4 Pro provides developed graphics for other games, Xbox Scorpio is going to make upgrades possible for the Microsoft users. Older console owners, check out what you should look forward to! Xbox 360, as well as PS3 owners, will be getting their own version of the game separately. But we can’t offer you with all new confirmed features of NBA 2K18, so it’d be unsure whether investing on this version would be a smart move or not.

The Final Words… In this article, we have discussed NBA 2K18 release for Xbox 360 and PS 3 vividly alongside the release date and cover athletes of different editions of the game. On this note, let us highlight something more interesting. All three versions’ price of the gaming installment has been revealed. And much to the wait, the Standard edition will be pegged with a price tag of $59.99, whereas the Legend Edition and Legend Edition Gold will be pegged with a price tag of $99.99 & $149.99 respectively. NBA 2K18 awaits more including the confirmation of its features. But for that serious NBA addicts need to keep a close eye on every possible update about the gaming installment.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Mark a Significant Departure from Its Predecessors

by Dustin Kuhn on / Gaming

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are known for their award winning gaming series like GTA and the Red Dead franchise. But while fans have been pining away for some news of both, it was only the latter one that received a confirmation of extension from its creators. So while we must still hold on to our hopes about getting a GTA 6, it is comforting to know that at least Red Dead Redemption 2 is on the way.

Talks about Red Dead Redemption 2 have been doing the rounds ever since its 2010 predecessor became a huge hit with both gamers and critics. In fact, Red Dead Redemption received a large number of accolades for its presentation of the wild Western genre in a game title and its heartfelt execution of John Marston, the outlaw’s story ensured an enduring fan base.

Needless to say, fans started hankering for a sequel soon after Red Dead Redemption was released. But we never really were sure about what the game might be called or what it was going to be. In all honesty, we did not even know that there was going to a Red Dead Redemption 2 before we were well into 2016. But despite a number of rumors doing the rounds about the game’s existence, we could not quite be sure of anything. The one time the fandom came close to knowing that a third entry in the Red Dead series was on the way was during Take Two’s earnings call in 2016 when the publisher said that they were invested in series like Red Dead and GTA on a long term basis. That obviously meant that we were about to get new entries in both the franchises. But while that was an obvious conclusion of sorts, what really worked our imagination was what was being circulated by inside sources close to the project.

The first one we heard was that the next game would be a little different in terms of the narrative, for it will mark a departure from the earlier games in the series in terms of the narrative approach it will take. This would be achieved, the rumors had stated, by centering the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 around not one, but multiple playable protagonists. Despite being just a rumors that we advised everyone to take with a healthy dose of salt, Rockstar’s revelation of the actual upcoming game showed off an interesting detail.

Rockstar unveiled Red Dead Redemption 2 in October 2016 with a teaser poster, which was followed by a cinematic teaser trailer. But while everything looked great, what caught our attention was the presence of seven men donning cowboy hats in the distance. That does not really guarantee that all seven of them will be playable protagonists in the upcoming game, but it does serve as some food for thought.

In fact it might just be that all these characters will all be supporting NPCs who will undoubtedly be important to the game’s narrative. In fact, it is great to see that Rockstar is putting so much thought into Red Dead Redemption 2’s story and plot. But we really are looking forward to having multiple playable characters to give us a different perspective to the storylines. What if this time, Rockstar brought in a female protagonist? Surely, that would give the male-dominated Western narrative a fresh spin?

Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on eighth generation consoles in Fall 2017. The creators are yet to announce an actual release date.

Fifa 18 A wishlist of what we want to see

by Dustin Kuhn on / Gaming

While FIFA 17 is yet to leave store counters as it launched only in September last year, we have already been zeroing in on the news that the next instalment in the popular gaming franchise will feature. FIFA 17 is said to be the most popular game in the entire franchise and will be a hard act to beat. We, however, believe that the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. A list of features we would like to see in the new game will be highly instructive at this moment. We have not ranked or arranged this wishlist in any manner of preference. Fifa 18 Wishlist is important at this point.

1. Bring better diversity in the commentary to the new game. The preceding game featured expert commentary from the likes of Martin Tyler, Alan Smith, Alan McInally, who provides all in-game score updates, Geoff Shreeves, who provides injury reports and the excellent Mike West who provides detailed reports on major leagues. However, the new game will be the winner if expert commentators from various regions from all over the world will voice the game. India, for example, is hardly represented by any commentators. We expect that FIFA 18 will also improve upon this matter.

2. Improved goalkeeping AI. One of the pet gripes of all FIFA fans is that the goalkeeping functions of the game are slow, inorganic and often unwieldy. The AI controlling the goalkeeping needs an upgrade very badly. Fans and players often state that the keeper jumps to the opposite end of the direction they need to go. A better AI controlling the functions will be extremely user-friendly.

3. Increased attention to women’s football. The world of women’s football is exploding with new talent, more players and more crowds attending matches. In order to tap into this latent market, EA must improve the opportunities available in the game. The latest iteration does not highlight the women’s game and is basically just hidden away. More options for the enormously popular women’s game will be much appreciated.

4. Improvements in penalty modes. The newest game has some glitches when it comes to direction finding. The better the penalty-taking feature, the better the game will be. It is very difficult to find the corner of the goal every time which becomes even truer when the game is played in multiplayer where the direction indicator is hidden for obvious reasons.

5. Fixed graphics. We do understand that the introduction of the Frostbite engine does seem as one of the reasons the game is facing some problems Remember that the crowds and the players often seem very tacky in the existing graphics.  Some of the player’s features also look unlike their real-life counterparts. These features have to be improved. The blurry and low-resolution parts of the graphics simply need to go. Besides, the crowds also need to be fixed to make the online gaming environs seem more organic and wholesome.
