1/4cup sugar

3/4cup vodka

1/2cup pomegranate juice

1/3cup fresh lime juice

1/4cup Cointreau

Lime slices, for garnish


Chill 4 martini glasses. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring the sugar and ¼ cup water to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a large pitcher, combine the sugar syrup with the vodka, juices, and Cointreau. Add 2 cups ice and stir until well chilled.

Strain the martinis into the chilled glasses; garnish each with a lime slice.

  • Mulled Wine With Cranberries


1 1/2cups cranberry juice cocktail

1/2cup sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

2 pieces star anise

3cups dry red wine (such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)

1/2cup fresh cranberries


In a large saucepan, combine the cranberry juice cocktail, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and star anise. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Stir in the wine and cranberries and bring back to a simmer. Serve warm.

¾ cup brandy

½cup apple juice

⅓cup Cointreau

¼cup fresh lemon juice

½teaspoon angostura bitters

Add apple slices, for garnish


In a large pitcher, combine the brandy, apple juice, Cointreau, lemon juice, and bitters. Serve over ice; garnish each glass with apple slices.

kosher salt

1 grapefruit wedge

2cups fresh pink grapefruit juice

1cup ginger ale or ginger beer

3/4cup light rum

Candied ginger slices, for garnish


Place 1 tablespoon salt on a small plate after which rub the rims of 4 glasses with the grapefruit wedge, and then dip the rims in the salt to coat.

In a large pitcher, combine the grapefruit juice, ginger ale, and rum. Serve over ice in the prepared glasses; garnish each with a ginger slice.

  • Rosemary, Grape, and Gin Cocktails

½ cup sugar

8 fresh rosemary sprigs

1cup Concord grape juice

3/4cup gin

1/2cup club soda

1/4cup fresh lemon juice

In a small saucepan, bring the sugar, 4 of the rosemary sprigs, and ½ cup water to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.

Strain the sugar syrup into a large pitcher. Add the grape juice, gin, club soda, and lemon juice and stir to combine. Serve over ice; garnish each glass with grapes and 1 of the remaining rosemary sprigs.
